Warden “Scott” May

It is with peace that we announce the passing of Warden “Scott” May, who went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 20, 2025. He passed at home in Felicity, OH, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Corbin, KY on April 17, 1943, Scott lived a full and blessed life, filled with love for his family, faith, and the beauty of nature.  Scott is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Joyce. Together, they built a loving family, and Scott’s strength, kindness, and faith were the foundation of their lives. He is survived by his seven children: Beverly Sheppard (Tim), Tina Miller (Mark), Dennis May (Kathy), Patricia Cowdrey (Jim), Jeffrey May (Becky), Daniel Luck (Darin), and Holli Roehm (Mike). 28 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.  Scott was a member of Felicity Christian Church. He was a man who loved deeply and lived humbly, always putting family first and sharing his love and wisdom with those around him. His friends and family were his greatest treasures, and he made sure everyone felt like part of his chosen family, especially his closest friends that became family. Scott found joy in fishing and loved looking for the next great find, wheeling and dealing. His greatest joy, however, came from being surrounded by his loved ones—whether in conversation, telling stories, laughing, or simply sharing a moment together.  Though we will miss him, we find comfort knowing that he is now at rest in Heaven, rejoicing with those who have gone before him. His legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at Felicity Christian Church on Saturday, February 1 , 2025 at 5:00 PM.  Visitation will also be on Saturday February 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, also at the church .
