Ethel, as Pap would call her, never met a stranger, she could talk to anyone and always made everyone feel welcomed and like a part of the family. Mary Ethel unconditionally and unselfishly loved her children and supported them; they were her joy in life. She was always the first to offer her advice without judgement, and the comfort of her hugs for support. She dedicated herself to her loving husband, John D. Marshall, through 49 years of marriage. Mary Ethel also supported her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all of life’s endeavors. She was a sports fan of Baseball and College Basketball. She loved going to Reds games and watching them on TV in later years. Mary Ethel was a hard worker, loved gardening, mowing and working in her yard. She took pride in her home and her family. Mary Ethel will be terribly missed by all her friends and family.
Mary Ethel is survived by her husband, John D. Marshall, her children: Dale (Ruthann) Ladenburger, Roger (Tina) Ladenburger, Missy Huff, and Lisa (Greg) Linfert; stepchildren: Tammy Wood, and John P. (Maricel) Marshall. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Derek (Raegan) Ladenburger, Danelle (Brandon) Fogle, Samantha (Sean) Wegman, Ashley (James) Foster, Kaycee Huff, Britney Burns, and Alissa Marois; step-grandchildren: Tiffany Marshall, Lauren (Joel) Lindenschmidt, Grant Quintua, Brandon (Mathew) Rice, Kenneth (Amber) Rice, and Lilly Linfert; great-grandchildren: Charlee Ladenburger, Denver Ladenburger, Xavier Fogle, Oxford Fogle, Steele Wegman, Stryker Wegman, Jaxon Foster, Abel Foster, and Felix Sturwald; step-great-grandchildren, Alahna Paige, Beckham Paige, Logan Lindenschmidt, Allie Lindenschmidt, Emma Lindenschmidt, Annika Rice and Kenson Rice. She is preceded in death by great-grandchild Elliette Wegman and step-grandchild CJ Wood.
We have lost our matriarch, and we will struggle to continue without her. We find comfort in knowing that Mary Ethel’s legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
