Elizabeth (Lizzie) Joyce Short, born on January 13, 1960,entered into eternal rest on April 28th, 2025, at the age of 65.  Lizzie-a lifelong resident of Felicity, OH- known for her infectious smile, joyful spirit, kind heart and welcoming nature, leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  She touched the lives of many, making anyone she encountered feel valued and loved.  

Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary (nee East) Borgerding, her brothers Tim and John Borgerding, as well as her infant son, John Gray. 

Lizzie is survived by a loving family who cherished her deeply.  She leaves behind her beloved partner, Johnny Gray, who stood by her side through life’s many journeys. Her siblings, Jim (Shelley) Borgerding and Jackie (Lennie) Brooks, will cherishthe adventures they have shared with their lifelong best friend.  Lizzie took immense pride in her children Steven “Scotty”Short, Nathan (Kayce) Gray, Timmy Gray, Mary (PJ) Mitchell and her grandchildren Amberly Pyles, Lacy Gray, KaylynnGray, Owen Gray, Joe Mitchell, Kinsley Mitchell, Allison Gray, and Raelynn Gray who will continue to honor her memory.  Her fun-loving personality made her an easy “favorite aunt” pick of her many nieces and nephews.  Her smile could light up any room and her laughter will forever echo in the hearts of us lucky enough to hear it. 

A celebration of life service will be held at Charles McIntyre Funeral Home, 323 Union Street,  Felicity. Ohio 45120,  on Sunday,  May 25, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
